What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is a modern orthodontic treatment that uses a series of custom-made, clear aligners to gently and gradually straighten your teeth. Unlike traditional metal braces, Invisalign aligners are virtually invisible and removable, allowing you to maintain your normal eating, brushing, and flossing routine. Each set of aligners is precisely designed to shift your teeth into proper alignment over time, creating a healthier, more confident smile without the look or feel of brackets and wires.
Treatment begins with a detailed digital scan of your teeth, which allows us to map out your personalized smile transformation from start to finish. You’ll receive a series of aligners that are typically changed every one to two weeks, with each set bringing you closer to your ideal result. Invisalign can effectively treat a wide range of concerns, including crowding, spacing, overbites, underbites, and crossbites.
In addition to being discreet, Invisalign aligners are smooth and comfortable, minimizing irritation to the cheeks and gums. Because they are removable, you can continue enjoying your favorite foods and maintain excellent oral hygiene throughout treatment. With consistent wear as recommended, Invisalign offers a convenient and effective way to achieve a beautifully aligned smile with minimal disruption to your daily life.
Invisalign® FAQs
How does Invisalign work?
Invisalign uses a series of clear, removable aligners to gradually move your teeth. Each set is custom-made for your treatment plan.
Is Invisalign right for me?
Invisalign can address many spacing, crowding, and bite concerns. A consultation with our board certified orthodontics, Dr. Ody Fabian Gonzalez, will help determine whether it is appropriate for your needs.
How long should I wear my aligners each day?
Aligners are generally worn for 20–22 hours daily, removing them for meals, drinks other than water, brushing, and flossing. Follow your provider’s instructions.
How long does treatment take?
Treatment time depends on your alignment needs and how consistently you wear your aligners. Your provider will discuss an estimated timeline during your consultation.
Will I need retainers afterward?
Yes. Retainers help maintain your results by keeping your teeth in their new positions. Your provider will explain when and how to wear them.
