Porcelain Veneers in Miami FL
Want to Smile again with confidence? Allow us to design your dream smile.
Why Our Approach Is Different
Our porcelain veneer process is thoughtfully designed to give you clarity, confidence, and control from the very beginning.
Every smile transformation begins with a personal consultation with Dr. Castro a digital scan, and a smile simulation. During this visit, you will have time to discuss your concerns and goals, evaluate a digital model of your current teeth, and preview the possibilities for your new smile. Together, you and Dr. Castro will determine how many teeth should be treated and which design will best complement your facial features.
Once Dr. Castro understands your vision, he works closely with our master ceramist to create a custom smile design specifically for you. At your second appointment, you will see the proposed design in person and review the precise amount of tooth preparation needed to achieve your desired result.
Every detail is planned in advance to meet your individual esthetic and clinical needs while preserving as much healthy tooth structure as possible.
After you approve the design, your teeth will be carefully prepared and custom temporary veneers will be created. These temporaries allow you to “test-drive” your new smile and provide feedback on its shape, size, and overall appearance before your final veneers are completed.
This carefully planned process minimizes surprises and keeps you involved at every stage. Finally, our master ceramist will handcraft your porcelain veneers to create a natural, beautiful smile you can enjoy with confidence for years to come.

Porcelain Veneers Frequently Asked Questions
Am I a good candidate for porcelain veneers?
The best candidates for porcelain veneers have generally healthy teeth and gums but are unhappy with the shape, size, color, spacing, symmetry, or minor wear of their teeth. Before recommending veneers, we also evaluate your enamel, existing restorations, bite, and any history of clenching or grinding. Active decay or gum disease should be treated first. During your consultation, Dr. Castro will determine whether veneers—or another treatment—will provide the healthiest and most predictable result.
Do you have to shave down my natural teeth for veneers?
Most porcelain veneers require some tooth preparation to create a natural appearance, proper fit, and healthy transition between the veneer and gumline. However, the amount of preparation varies considerably from patient to patient.
Our veneer preparations are designed in advance with our dental laboratory. Before treatment begins, we can show you the proposed smile design and demonstrate on a model where preparation may be necessary. This carefully planned approach allows us to preserve as much healthy tooth structure as possible while achieving the desired esthetic and functional result.
How many veneers will I need for my smile?
The appropriate number of veneers is different for every patient. It depends on how many teeth show when you smile, the width of your smile, the condition and color of the surrounding teeth, your esthetic goals, and your clinical needs.
Some patients may achieve their desired result by treating only a few teeth, while others may benefit from treating additional teeth to create better symmetry and color consistency. We use digital scans and smile-design planning to help you visualize your options before deciding.
Can I preview my smile before treatment begins?
Yes. Our office uses an iTero digital scanner to create a smile simulation that can be viewed in both images and video. This provides an initial visualization of how changes to the shape, size, and position of your teeth may affect your smile.
For veneer treatment, we also work with our dental laboratory to develop a customized smile design. You will have an opportunity to review the proposed design before your teeth are prepared. The digital simulation is a planning and communication tool; your final result will be based on your individual anatomy and treatment plan.
How long does the porcelain veneer process take?
Our porcelain veneer process generally involves three appointments, although the exact schedule may vary according to the complexity of your case.
The first appointment includes your consultation, digital scan, photographs, and smile simulation. At the second appointment, you review the proposed design. Once it is approved, the teeth are prepared and temporary veneers are fabricated. The temporaries allow us to evaluate the appearance, bite, comfort, and speech before the final veneers are completed. At the third appointment, we evaluate, adjust, and bond your custom porcelain veneers.
How long do porcelain veneers typically last?
Well-designed and properly maintained porcelain veneers commonly last approximately 10–15 years, and some last considerably longer. Their longevity depends on factors such as oral hygiene, bite forces, clenching or grinding, diet, and regular professional care.
To protect your veneers, maintain regular dental examinations and cleanings, avoid using your teeth to open or cut objects, and wear a protective appliance if one is recommended for nighttime grinding. Although porcelain is durable, veneers may eventually need repair or replacement.
Can porcelain veneers stain or change color?
High-quality dental porcelain is highly resistant to staining and typically maintains its color better than natural enamel or composite bonding. We use carefully selected porcelain and compatible bonding materials designed to provide long-term color stability.
However, your natural teeth can continue to change color, and staining or discoloration may develop near veneer margins if oral hygiene is inadequate. Regular professional cleanings and good home care help keep both the veneers and surrounding teeth looking their best.
What is the difference between veneers, bonding, and crowns?
Porcelain veneers cover primarily the visible front surface of a tooth and can improve its shape, size, color, and symmetry while preserving much of the natural tooth structure.
Composite bonding is applied directly to the tooth and generally requires little or no tooth preparation. It can be an excellent conservative option for smaller changes, but composite is more susceptible than porcelain to staining, wear, and chipping over time.
A crown covers most or all of the visible tooth. Crowns are generally recommended when a tooth has significant structural damage, a large existing restoration, extensive wear, or another condition requiring greater coverage and support. The right treatment depends on the condition of each tooth, your bite, and your esthetic goals.
How much do porcelain veneers cost near Kendall?
At our Miami office near Kendall, porcelain veneers generally range from $1,500 to $1,800 per tooth. The fee includes digital scanning and smile simulation, customized smile design, temporary veneers, laboratory fabrication by a master ceramist, and final placement.
The total investment depends on the number of teeth treated and the complexity of your treatment. After completing your examination and smile-design consultation, we will provide a personalized treatment plan and a clear estimate of the total cost.
