Why Choose Our Team for Dental Implants in Miami
Successful dental implant treatment involves more than simply placing an implant. It requires careful planning, precise surgical placement, and a well-designed final restoration that looks natural, functions comfortably, and complements your smile.
At our Miami dental practice located in Kendall, implant treatment is approached collaboratively. Dr. Michael Hennessy and Dr. Joe Garri perform dental implant placement, while Dr. Oscar L. Castro Jr. focuses on the restorative phase of treatment, designing and restoring the teeth that are ultimately supported by the implants.
Experienced Surgical Implant Care
Dr. Joe Garri, MD, DMD brings an extensive surgical background to our implant team. His training includes a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery as well as advanced training in general, plastic, and craniofacial surgery. He is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and the American Board of Surgery.
Dr. Michael Hennessy, DDS also performs dental implant surgery as part of our implant team and has an extensive surgical background with over 20 years of experience. Dr. Michael Hennessy is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University Periodontal program and is proficient in all aspects of implant dentistry.
Restorative Implant Expertise with Dr. Oscar Castro Jr.
Dr. Oscar L. Castro Jr., DDS has advanced postgraduate education in implant dentistry and full-mouth reconstruction. His training includes bone grafting and dental implant placement, immediate implant placement, anterior implant treatment, sinus lift and ridge-split procedures, and implant-supported full-arch treatment.
Although Dr. Castro’s primary role in our current implant workflow is the restorative and aesthetic phase of treatment, his surgical implant background gives him an important perspective when planning the position, function, and final appearance of implant-supported teeth.
Dr. Castro works closely with Dr. Hennessy and Dr. Garri to plan treatment with the final restoration in mind—from replacing a single missing tooth to more comprehensive implant-supported rehabilitation.

One Team From Implant Placement to Your Final Smile
Having the surgical and restorative phases coordinated within one dental team allows us to plan implant treatment around the ultimate goal: a strong, functional, natural-looking smile. Depending on your individual needs, treatment may include tooth extraction, bone grafting, implant placement, temporary restorations, and the final implant-supported crown, bridge, or full-arch restoration.
Our goal is to combine experienced surgical implant placement with careful restorative and aesthetic planning so that every phase of treatment works toward the best possible long-term result.
Advanced Dental Implant Care

Advances in implant dentistry allow many patients to replace missing teeth with treatment that is more precise, efficient, and predictable than ever before.
We use 3D CBCT scanning along with advanced implant-planning software to evaluate the bone, surrounding anatomy, and proposed implant position before treatment. This technology allows our team to carefully plan implant placement with the final restoration in mind, considering bone support, position, bite, function, and aesthetics.
Depending on your needs, treatment may include tooth extraction, bone grafting, or immediate implant placement. In appropriate cases, an implant can be placed at the same time a tooth is removed, potentially reducing the number of surgical procedures needed.
Once healing is complete, the implant can support a single crown, bridge, implant-supported denture, or full-arch restoration. Our goal is to combine advanced technology, experienced surgical care, and thoughtful restorative planning to create results that feel comfortable, function naturally, and blend beautifully with your smile.

What are Dental Implants?
Dental implants are designed to provide a foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel and function like natural teeth. The person who has lost teeth regains the ability to eat virtually anything and can smile with confidence, knowing that teeth appear natural and that facial contours will be preserved. The implants are tiny titanium posts which are placed into the jaw bone where teeth are missing. The bone bonds with the titanium, creating a strong foundation for artificial teeth. In addition, dental implants can help preserve facial structure, preventing the bone deterioration which occurs when teeth are missing.
Dental implants are changing the way people live! With them, people are rediscovering the comfort and confidence to eat, speak, laugh and enjoy life.

The Dental Implant Process
1. Consultation & 3D Planning
Your treatment begins with a comprehensive evaluation, including a 3D CBCT scan when appropriate. Our team uses implant-planning software to evaluate your anatomy, available bone, and ideal implant position.
2. Implant Placement
The dental implant is surgically positioned in the jawbone. Depending on your individual situation, treatment may also include an extraction or bone grafting. In certain cases, an implant may be placed immediately following extraction.
3. Healing & Integration
During healing, the implant integrates with the surrounding bone, creating a stable foundation for the final restoration. Healing time varies depending on the procedure and individual patient.
4. Your Final Restoration
Once the implant is ready to restore, Dr. Castro designs the final implant crown, bridge, implant-supported denture, or full-arch restoration with careful attention to your bite, function, and smile.
Dental Implant FAQs
How much do dental implants cost in Miami?
The cost of dental implants varies depending on the number of implants needed, the type of restoration, and whether additional procedures such as an extraction or bone grafting are necessary. After your evaluation and 3D imaging, our team can provide a personalized treatment plan and review your options.
Am I a candidate for dental implants?
Many adults with missing or failing teeth may be candidates for dental implants. We evaluate your oral health, available bone, medical history, and treatment goals. Our 3D CBCT scan and implant-planning software also help us assess the area and plan treatment.
How long does the dental implant process take?
Treatment time varies depending on your individual needs, whether bone grafting or an extraction is required, and how the implant heals. In some cases, an implant may be placed at the same time a tooth is removed. We will explain your expected treatment timeline during your consultation.
How long do dental implants last?
Dental implants are designed to be a long-term solution for missing teeth. Their longevity depends on factors including oral hygiene, gum and bone health, regular dental care, bite forces, and overall health. The implant restoration may require maintenance or replacement over time.
